“Bad” food that is in fact healthy to eat

When we try to eat healthy we often remove many valuable products from our menu. Here are some products that you should consider to add to your diet.

Meat. Many people refuse eating red meat to be healthier. However, red meat can have even less fat than chicken. 100 grams of chicken that was fed in grains has 129 calories and 4.8 grams of fat. 100 grams of lean beef tenderloin has 135 calories and 4.5 grams of fat. Besides, beef has three times more iron and almost four times more zinc which is essential for our immune system. The way you prepare meat is also very important.

Ice cream. You shouldn’t abuse ice cream. However, do not remove it from your menu completely. Ice cream is digested slowly, besides, it increases the amount of sugar in blood and this gives us energy. One scoop of ice cream (75 g) has 114 calories and 6 grams of fat. So ice cream is a much better choice than a piece of cheese cake which has 511 calories and 43 grams of fat.

White bread. In order to consume more fiber, many of us always choose whole grain bread. In fact 50 grams of white bread has 0.8 grams of fiber, which is not that bad. Recommended daily intake of fiber is 18 grams. White bread has more minerals than whole grain bread. One more thing, since white bread has less fiber, it is easier to absorb calcium from it.

Butter. 10 grams of butter contains grams of fat. However, this amount is enough for two sandwiches. A similar amount of fat is in a cup of latte or cappuccino, so you shouldn’t be afraid of butter that much. Good news are that butter is one of few natural sources of vitamin D. Some kind of butter contains beta carotene which is great for lungs and heart.
