Beauty from your kitchen: baking soda

Many things from our kitchen are common to use for beauty treatments. For example, lemon, eggs, honey, etc. For this reason many people say that anything that you eat can be also used for your beauty. This time, let’s talk about baking soda. Can we learn something interesting about it?

Baking soda has antiseptic properties, it treats viruses and fungi. That is why baking soda is great for oily skin. Nevertheless, it can be safely used on sensitive skin too. This exfoliator makes your skin brighter and cleaner. Simply mix baking soda with some water and here you have a wonderful skin scrub.

If you need new ideas how to cleanse you face at night, try this mixture: 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix everything and gently massage it into your face. You can keep it on your face for one minute and then rinse it with warm water. This great “soap” refreshes, soothes your skin and prevents from clogged pores and acne.

By the way, you can use soda on spots for its drying effect. Make a thick paste from baking soda and water and apply it on a spot. Keep it as long as you can, for example, throughout the night.

You can also wash your hair with baking soda, especially if you have oily scalp. Dissolve a teaspoon pf baking soda in a glass of water and poor it on damp hair, rinse it out well. This mixture removes all the dirt and oils as well as styling products.

Finally, make a natural deodorant. Take four teaspoons of baking soda and one drop of your favorite essential oil. Use a sponge or a brush to powder your armpits.
