Best treatments for dry hair

Hair tends to be drier with age. However, it’s related not only with getting older. Polluted air, loads of styling products, blow drying straightening – it all dries your hair out. Here are a few tips how to treat dry hair.

Coconut. It is rich in proteins, fatty acids, vitamins B and C, zinc, potassium and iron. Coconut oil is considered to be one of the best treatments for dry hair. Apply generous amount of coconut oil to dry hair and massage your scalp. Put a warm towel and leave it at least for 15-20 minutes. Wash it our with shampoo and conditioner.

Honey and olive oil. Both of these products are wildly used in cosmetic products. Both of them are great for our skin and hair. Mix 4 table spoons of honey with 6 teaspoons of olive oil. Apply it to your hair and leave it for 15-30 minutes.

Milk and honey. Mix half of the glass of milk and 1-2 teaspoons of honey. Apply this mask to your hair and leave it for up to 1 hour. Use this treatment once a week and you will soon notice how soft and shiny your hair becomes.

Avocado, olive oil and honey. Smash one avocado and mix it wit h one teaspoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Leave it in your hair for up to 1 hour. This is a great moisturizing mask.

Strawberries. Pleasant smell, lots of moisture and amazing shining hair. Smash 200 grams of strawberries and mix them with one yolk and two table spoons of olive oil. Apply to your hair and leave it for 20-30 minutes.

Have in mind that environment can harm your hair. Rain, wind, sun, not to mention all chemicals that we use every single day to wash and style our hair. For this reason you should constantly take care of your hair. Hear a hat to protect against the sun and apply home made treatments as soon as you felt that your hair is drying out. Don;t wash your hair every single day as you remove all natural oils that nourish and protect your hair. Try to wash it at least every second day. Make sure your shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free. If possible let your hair to dry naturally.

Don’t forget that proper eating also plays an important role. It is very important to get omega-3 fatty acids, so choose eating nuts, eggs, fish. Omega-3 fatty acids strengthen and nourish your hair from inside.
