Caffeine and its effects

Caffeine is one of the beverage ingredients that are explored the most in the world. It can be found in coffee, tea, soft drinks, chocolate, and even in some medications. Caffeine has a significant effect on metabolism and it also stimulates central nervous system. This raises our energy level.

However, caffeine consumption should be closely monitored. Most people can have up to four cups of coffee on their daily basis. Studies have shown that is you use caffeine in moderation it is appropriate on a regular basis. However, excessive amounts of caffeine can cause irritability, anxiety and other unpleasant feelings.

There should be noted that if you don’t abuse caffeine, it will not cause any damage to your health. The most common sources of caffeine are coffee, tea, some soft drinks and chocolate. The amount of caffeine depends on a portion size, product type and method of production. Talking about tea and coffee, the amount of caffeine depends on species of a plant.

Caffeine makes us feel more awake and it even has such useful features as pain killer. It is proved that caffeine has positive impact on people who have liver diseases. Also it is considered to have mild diuretic properties.

Depending on the amount consumed, caffeine can easily stimulate central nervous system. Although it is sometimes characterized as an addictive substance, moderate consumption of caffeine is safe. People who say that they are addictive to caffeine , use this term very broadly and the same can be said about jogging, working or TV addiction.
