How not to get lost in too much information

Fat, unlike carbohydrates, protein or sugar, is calorific, but more useful. Nuts, seeds, avocados and oily fish have a lot of calories and fat, but they are necessary for our body, they help regulate appetite and lose weight.

People who eat food that is higher in fat are getting hungry slower and eat less. Previous convictions that low-calorie food is a valuable and fats are not, are denied. Many low fat products have a lot of sugar which makes our insulin levels starts to jump, and your body’s cells store fat.

Good fat is extremely important for people

Fats, according to experts, are divided into three groups: saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. Saturated fats are mostly animal fats, which can be found in meat, seafood or fat in dairy products. Some plant foods also are high in saturated fat, like coconut and coconut oil, palm oil and palm kernel oil. Saturated fats increase total cholesterol, so it is necessary to limit the amount of this fat in our diet.

Fats that we can consume more are known as unsaturated fat. They are divided into 2 groups: polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats. Unsaturated fats are of plant origin, like vegetable oils, nuts and seeds. According to experts, unsaturated fats do not affect levels of cholesterol. According to nutritionists, 15 percent of the total daily intake of food should be fats. Therefore, snacking on nuts or avocado is certainly not worse than sugary yogurts and snack bars.
