The best food for better skin

The moist important nourishment for our skin comes from the inside. So food has a significant impact on our skin. It is recommended to eat more antioxidants and other nutritious foods. Here are some myths and truths about which products are appropriate for our skin.

Myth: Products that contain lots of fats are unsuitable for our skin.

True: Lots of fast food contains saturated fats which increase production of sebum and may lead to more pimples. However, olive oil, fish, walnuts, avocados contain useful unsaturated fats which help skin absorb essential vitamins A, D, E and K.

Myth: Milk causes acne.

True: Good milk has no effect on your skin at all unless you cannot tolerate lactose. In this case, choose goat, almond, rice or soy milk.

Myth: Chocolate causes acne.

True: Pure dark chocolate has good antioxidant properties that are beneficial to your body. However, a wide range of chocolate bars are not beneficial at all. They contain lots of sugar and saturated fats which activates sebaceous glands.

Myth: Tomatoes are natural protection from the sun.

True: Although tomatoes are rich in vitamins A and C, lycopene and antioxidants of carotene which can help to protect your skin from the sun, still such protection is not enough.

Myth: Food supplements are more useful for your skin than nutritious diet.

True: Food supplements alone will not provide a good result. They do not harm, but they must be combined with nutritious foods. Only then you will be able to enjoy good results.
