Is is true that water can help to lose weight? If so, how much of it should we drink during the day?

A human being should drink not less than 2 liter of water per day. You can count how much of it you need according to your weight. 15 ml of water for 450 grams.

Coffee, tea, soup, coke are not water. Water affects our body completely different than any other drinks. Even milk which is considered to be healthy does not have the same affect as water. Our body needs water and nothing can replace it. If there is a lack of water, our kidney can start forming stones and our blood accumulates toxic substances. Water is important for for normal brain, muscles and heart functioning. Such illnesses as hypertension, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, diabetes can also be cause by a lack of water in the body.

How can water help you to lose weight? First of all, very often people confuse hunger and thirst and this way they get more calories that they should. One more thing, water is an important element in metabolic processes as most of the reactions take place in a liquid medium. Because of insufficient quantity of fluids, metabolism slows down.

Many people who want to get rid of weight, start going to the gym. Water in the gym is very important too as you sweat a lot there. Drink some water before training and always have a bottle of water during it.

Which water to drink? Should it be mineral water or tap water? How to choose? It is recommended to drink alkaline water. This way you will get not only minerals but also oxygen. When blood has more oxygen it is thinner and this facilitates heart’s work.
