  1. Watch what you put into your mouth. Refuse products that promote abdominal bloating. You should also refuse pickled products which keeps the water in the tissues and makes you look fuller. If you want to lose weight from your waist and hips, forget about carbonated beverages (even sparkling water), leguminous vegetables and cabbage. Also stop chewing gum. When you chew, your body gets additional air which is bloating you from the inside.
  2. Stop drinking alcohol. Any alcoholic drinks mean unnecessary calories which will undoubtedly settle on your waist. In addition, alcohol increases the level of cortisol in your blood, which is known as a stress hormone. This hormone will not let you lose weight.
  3. Detoxification. Get rid of all junk food from your menu, especially salty products. Fast food is also full of preservatives and other harmful substances which inhibit metabolism.
  4. Correct your posture. Always sit and stand straight, this way you will look much thinner. Straight spine and raised head will make you optically lose several pounds. Besides, sucking in your tummy will train your abdominal muscles.
  5. Sweat. Any cardio will make your abdomen smaller. Try to walk more and take the stairs instead on an elevator. Park your car a bit further, so you can walk a bit before going to work. Go to sauna from time to time. Sweat will eliminate a huge part of toxins from your body.
