Rice contains almost no fat, it has low protein and no protein gluten which causes severe diarrhea and intestinal mucosal lesions, especially for those who suffer from celiac disease. Rice contains many B group vitamins and iron.

Did you know that:

  • Ordinary rice boils about 15 minutes, brown rice – about 40 minutes and steam-treated – about 20-25 minutes.
  • When rice is boiled, you should leave them uncovered in order all steam would go out.
  • It is important not to overcook rice because it can lose all useful substances.
  • Cooked rice can be stored in the fridge for a few days.

  • Brown rice is used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat pancreas and strengthen spleen.
