What to eat when you have a lack of iron?

Low level of hemoglobin is a well-known problem for many people. It especially affects women. There are plenty of reason for this to happen: pregnancy, breastfeeding, poor nutrition, etc. So what should you do?

The first signs of a lack of iron are dizziness, weakness, fainting, etc. There are two ways to solve the problem: by iron supplements in the pharmacy or try to get iron with food. So lets talk about what to eat in order to get more iron and raise your hemoglobin level?

Cereals and porridge, nuts: buckwheat, beans, lentils, peas, and walnuts;

Vegetables and greens: tomatoes, beets, squash, carrots, potatoes, onions, mustard, spinach, parsley;

Fruits: Apples, pomegranates, plums, apricots, peaches, pears, kiwi, dried fruits, raisins;

Berries: black currants, cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, rowan, dark grapes, rosehip, watermelon;

Juice: pomegranate, apple, tomato, beet, carrot juice.

Meat products: beef, beef liver, kidneys, hearts, poultry:

Seafood: fish, black and red caviar, and other seafood;

Other products: egg yolks, milk, cream, butter, red wine, dark chocolate, green tea.
