Why did your appetite increase?

If you constantly want to eat, probably you got your stomach stretched. Then you keep on eating just because you feel hungry. And, unfortunately, you are gaining weight. To get rid of this habit is quite a difficult task. However, it is possible.

Increased appetite can also have some different reasons. Here are a few of them

Not sleeping well. Recent studies have shown that increased appetite can be a consequence of poor quality of sleep. Make sure you sleep at least 8 hours without any breaks. There are two hormones that are responsible for hunger: leptin and ghrelin. Leptin inhibits hunger and ghrelin causes crazy appetite. When you don’t sleep properly, your body will lack leptin and the amount of ghrelin will increase.

So what should you do to ensure good sleep? First of all don’t watch any movies or TV shows that stimulate nervous system. Second of all, go to sleep as early as possible and always at the same time. Last but not least, do not overeat before going to bed.

Stress. Nutritionists have concluded that people who have stress, complain about increased appetite much more often. Depression can also be a reason why you want to eat more. However, it is important not to feel guilty if you eat a piece of cake or a bar of chocolate. The feeling of guilt promotes stress.
