Do you want to lose weight or gain strength? Many people will suggest you to start jogging but is it really so easy and can’t you harm yourself? Did you know that jogging is considered to be one of the most dangerous types of sports. Statistics show that 50% of runners in one year time one way or another get jogging related injuries or illnesses. Here are three myths that you need to know about jogging.

Myth no. 1. Anyone can start jogging. This rule only applies to healthy people, but who of us is 100% healthy? After 35 years of age, practically everyone has one or another complaint related to beginning of aging. So before starting jogging, you should consult your doctor and see if you can really do it.

Myth no. 2. If you want to strengthen your body, jogging alone is enough. If you only jog, only certain muscles will be trained, while others will remain passive. So if you want to really get in the shape you need some addition full body muscle training. Also bear in mind that if you do not have strong and flexible torso, you can easily get injured while jogging.

Myth no. 3. As soon as you start jogging, you will start losing weight. Physical activity is great, but without healthy eating, you will not reach your goals. So balanced diet is very important if you want to achieve excellent results.
