Natural remedies to treat cough

All of us know what it means to get cold. Here are a few ways how to relieve cough.

Honey and lemon. For many years honey is used not only as food, but also as medicine. Honey is rich in carbohydrates so it provides lots of energy for our body, strengthens the immune system and relieves inflammations. It has a pleasant sweet taste, so it’s a great medicine even for kids. You can prepare plenty of treatments using honey. Before going to be drink a glass of warm milk with honey. You can also add some lemon juice to a jar of warm water, add some honey and drink it several times per day.

Herbal teas. Teas can also facilitate discomfort caused by cough. Lime blossom tea eases cough and also has anti-inflammatory and soothing effect. You can also flavor this tea with a bit of honey.

Inhalations. Inhalations are also great if you want to relieve coughing. Boil a pot of water and breathe the steam it creates. Do it for 3-5 minutes couple of times per day.

Ginger. Ginger can be used not only as a spice, but also as a medicine. It is known for strong flavor and odor. Ginger also improves digestion and promotes appetite. To relieve cough, cut some ginger into small pieces and add some boiling water. Drink it 3-5 times per day.
