- The potato chips. They contain salt which is an excellent protection from expiring.
- Chocolate. Sugar also prevents chocolate from expiring.
- Tomato sauce. Tomato sauce can be kept in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place for up to one year.
- Yogurt. Yogurt can be eaten even six weeks after its expiration date.
- Hard cheese. Hard cheese can last for an incredibly long time. You should only be careful with soft cheeses, such as brie or camembert.
- Milk. Milk is good as long as it tastes good.
- Eggs. Put an egg into a bowl of water. If the egg floats on the surface, this means it has a build up of gas inside, so it is bad for consumption. If the egg sinks, it can be eaten.
- Bread. Just make sure your bread is not moldy.
- Rice. Rice can be kept for months or even for years.
- Fruits and vegetables should be guided by common sense. If a fruit or vegetable is not too soft, then you can probably eat it.
