How your lifestyle affects your hair growth?

Sometimes it looks that our hair just stops growing no matter how well you take care of it and what hair masks you use to pamper it. So why is that?

Slow hair growth especially concerns women. Fortunately, faster hair growth is achievable. You just need a little bit of effort and a lot of patience. Long hair will not grow overnight, but you can accelerate it.

General hair care tips:

Say “No!” to frequent hair washing. Scalp produces oil, which naturally moisturizes and protects the hair roots. If your scalp is very oily, wash it with cool water. If you need to wash your hair every day, use a shampoo for everyday use. Dry shampoo is also an alternative for everyday washing. It absorbs excess sebum and your hair will look clean and fluffy.

Use the air conditioner properly. Conditioner helps to restore materials that were lost when washing your hair, so it should be used after each wash. Do not apply the conditioner on the scalp. Wait for 1-2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

Protect your hair when it’s wet. Wet hair is very vulnerable. Do not rub wet hair with a towel, comb wet hair with extreme caution, start at the ends and finish the roots. Do not go to bed with wet hair.

Do not cut your hair more often than it is really necessary. It is a myth that you should trim your hair at least every 6-8 weeks. You only have to do it when it starts cracking and looks unhealthy.

Hair growth depends not only on how we treat it, but also how we nourish it from the inside, or, basically, what we eat. Some foods are especially important for hair health. Try eating more fish, especially salmon, pulses (beans, lentils), green vegetables (spinach, broccoli, lettuce, avocado), nuts and so on. These products are rich in nutrients and vitamins that are necessary for hair growth and strength. 25 minutes of exercising also promotes hair growth as it promotes a faster uptake of nutrients to the hair follicle.
