If you burnt your skin in the sun:
- To reduce pain and inflammation, take a pill of ibuprofen or aspirin.
- Apply some anti-inflammatory skin ointment (the best ones are those that contain aloe vera). If you don‘t have any cream, smash a few tablets of aspirin, add some water, and gently apply in on affected skin.
- Wash your skin with cool water. Do not use any harsh soap or other skin cleanser, also do not use a sponge. Do not rub your body after washing it. Just let the towel to absorb the moisture.
- Make a cold compress. Soak some cotton cloth in cold water. Place in on a burnt place for 20-30 minutes. Repeat as many times as necessary.
- Drink more water instead of other drinks. Sunburn can lead to dehydration, so you can drink as much water as possible.
How to prevent sunburns:
- Always apply sunscreen when you go out (the sun is the most active between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
- Do not forget wearing a hat, a cap, choose clothes of natural fabrics.
- Always carry a bottle of water with you.
- Do not sunbathe when the sun is the most active.
