Food that contain no calories?

Dietinng is a hard task probably for everyone. One of the main difficulties is uncontrollable desire to snack. However, nutritionists always have some options to offer in order to make your snacks as harmless as possible. Harmless in this case means foods containing a little calories as possible.

Maybe it’s difficult to believe but there exist foods that don’t add any calories to your menu! It’s not like they contain no calories, but they simply are converted into zero calorie during digestion. The foods which require more calories to digest them, than the calories they have through their nutritional content, are known as negative calorie foods and thus they become zero calorie foods during the process of digestion. You can consume the zero calorie foods or negative calorie foods, in as much quantity as you wish, without feeling guilty! So, they can be included in all types of weight loss diets. Hereare some examples of zero calorie foods:

Asparagus, Apple, Apricots, Artichokes.

Beetroot, Broccoli, Blueberries, Blackberries

Cranberries, Cabbage, Carrot, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber

Dandelion, Damson Plum

Endive, Egg Plant

Frog Legs, Flounder

Garlic, Green Beans, Grapefruit, Guava

Lettuce, Lemon

Mango, Mustard Greens, Musk Melon

Oranges, Oysters, Onions

Remember, these foods only have this effect if you consume them without adding adding anything else, like butter, sugar or any other products. While on diet, majority of what you eat in your meals can be negative calorie foods. But, if you go on eating only these zero calorie foods, you may have to face health problems. A very low calorie diet can cause vitamin deficiency which can put your body at risk. It can lead to weakness, fatigue and illness.
