You will never deal with your appetite if you eat only 2-3 times a day. Overeating at night will simply be inevitable. It is better to eat 5-6 times a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks). Eating frequently helps to activate metabolism, however, the portions should be small. You should eat 150-200 grams of food with each meal.

Eat with a small spoon from a small plate

This is purely psychological. A piece of meat on a large plate looks tiny, while in a small plate it will look much bigger. Cutlery can also be changed for smaller.

IF you eat in small bites, you will avoid overeating. European dieticians have made an experiment: the participants ate with large spoons the first day, and then the next day with small ones. Then they compared the results. It turned out that the first day, people had more difficulties to assess the quantity of food eaten, and they consumed more food than needed. On the second day, portions have been reduced by one third, and they were filled quicker.

Eat after 6 pm

Forget the myth that after 6 pm, you cannot eat. It is even necessary to eat, but not cakes and sweets. Instead you should choose protein-rich foods (eggs, fish, meat, cottage cheese, etc.). It will quench hunger and will not promote weight gain. The ideal time to have dinner is 3-4 hours before bedtime, so if you go to sleep late, make sure you eat after 6 pm, so you would avoid hunger pangs and overeating.
