How to survive sunburn?

Using sunscreen to avoid the sunburn is a must. However, sometimes we simply forget about that or put on the one which is too week for our skin type. If you did this or fallen asleep in the sun, you may have a serious burn now, so visit your family doctor as soon as possible. However, if your sunburn is light, to survive discomfort and the pain the first 24 hours, you should try following the tips written below:

1.  Drink lots of liquids. Water, iced tea or other low-calorie drink is the key after spending the time in the sun. However, if you have sunburned, it’s important even more! Liquids are critical for recovering lost fluid, keeping your skin and all your body hydrated.

2.  Take Aspirin. Chemicals that cause redness and swelling can be suppressed by aspirin which acts as an anti-inflammatory tool.

3.  Use milk.  To soothe your skin, make cold milk compresses. Just take a clean cloth and soak it in a bowl filled with milk, ice cubes and water (every of them should take equal parts). Take it out and put on your burned area for five minutes. Repeat this procedure for three times. It helps, because cold temperatures constrict blood vessels and reduce swelling. Besides, fat, protein and pH that are in milk have an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

4.  Put on refrigerated aloe gel.
Aloe is widely known for its anti-inflammatory powers. It’s a botanical gel, which should be kept in the fridge in order to give you its best, like reduce the swelling.

5.  Rely on LED treatments.  In order to decrease inflammatory cells, use gentle wave light technology, like LED. However, it’s quite pricey and you will have to leave your house in order to get to your doctor.
