Herbal tea has cleansing properties, it also improves metabolism, and at the same time it is very tasty. But did you know how to use it?
If you find it difficult to get up in the morning and in the evening you cannot fall asleep, herbal tea is for you. For example, stevia will help you to wake up and hawthorn or acacia will make you sleep like a baby again.
It is important to note that different temperature of tea works differently. For example, cold black currant leaves and sage tea helps if you are thirsty, however the same hot tea promotes sweating and it is great to treat colds.
To maximize its benefits, it is necessary to know how to make tea. All the herbs that need to boil for a long period of time (10-15 minutes) must be prepared in glass, enamel and porcelain vessels (the point is that when in contact with metal tea loses a large part of its beneficial properties). When preparing chopped fruit and root teas (such as rosehip), it is recommended to brew it for several hours. Rosehip fruits should be cut into 4 pieces. Then add a glass of boiling water and 5 g of lemon juice. This tea must boiled for 10 minutes in an enamel bowl with a lid.
It is important to take time to drink herbal teas, because some of them tone, and other have calming effect.
