What vitamins are necessary for your hair in winter?

The lack of vitamins may badly affect the beauty of our hair, especially if it’s winter. It may lose its shine and vitality. In order to help our hair, we should get vitamin supplements, eat healthy food and nourish it with special masks.

Vitamin preparations

Vitamins should be started taking as soon as the weather gets colder. This will help your body to withstand the negative impact of winter easier. Our hair especially needs vitamins A, C, E and F.

  • Vitamin E accelerates hair growth
  • Vitamin C strengthens hair roots and gives them freshness.
  • Vitamin E restores a healthy shine of hair and accelerates the removal of toxic substances from the body.
  • Vitamin F, protects hair from dryness.

Healthy diet

If you want your hair to be healthy, you have to eat healthy. Here’s what your menu should include:

  • Cereals, milk, fish. These products contain phosphorus and vitamin B which speeds up hair growth and prevents your hair from getting oily.
  • Yellow and orange vegetables and fruits. They contain vitamin A. A lack of it can cause hair loss.
  • Nuts, sunflower seeds, sunflower oil. These products contain vitamin E, which makes hair shine.
  • Pumpkin seeds. Pumpkin seeds contain zinc, which gives hair vitality and strength.

Nourishing and moisturizing masks

No matter what type of hair you have, greasy, dry or normal, they get damaged because of heated air, for example, car air, conditioning systems, blow driers, they all affect our hair. To compensate dry weather-related damage, we should use moisturizing masks. Take cup of natural yogurt and 2 tablespoons of crushed avocado fruit. Apply the mask on hair for half an hour, then rinse.

For dry hair it is recommended to make a mask from a tablespoon of butter and castor oil and a teaspoon of shampoo for dry hair. Rub a mask to the scalp, wrap a warm towel and leave for a couple of hours and then wash your hair.
