Diet rules that you can break

Diet rules that you can break

Don’t be upset if you constantly fail your diet. Sometimes you can lose weight by breaking some rules. The researches show that people who are on diet and still allow themselves some sweets or other sinful pleasure lose weight more successful than those who control their eating habits very strictly. Choosing a flexible diet plan helps to control yourself and do not eat tons of junk food at once.

So which diet rules can be broken?

1. Do not eat after 6 p.m.

In order to lose weight successfully, the time is not that important. It’s important to watch what your are eating and to make sure you limit the calorie intake. Take notes, what you eat over a day. If you have some “free” calories, it’s a good idea to have something light 2 hours before going to bed.

2. Eat 5-6 times per day.

Frequent eating supports fast metabolism, however, this way of eating can become overeating. Besides, some studies have shown that normal size meals that include protein helps to feel satiety better than eating little portions very often. Eating proteins also ensures that you will not feel hungry at night.

3. Eating low-fat food.

American Heart Association has recently announced that low-fat foods lead to obesity since they often have even more calories than regular products. Always read the ingredients and make sure that those low-fat products do not have lots of sugar. Don’t forget that there are good fats, such as omega-3 fatty acids. Use olive oil, eat nuts and oily fish.

4. Have your breakfast straight after you wake up.

It’s true that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, if you don’t feel like eating straight after you wake up, don’t force yourself. Late breakfast will have the same effect. Just make sure to choose something rich in fiber.
