6 tips how to cope with stress

Full-grain bread. White flour bread is very easy to digect. This stimulates jumping of sugar level in the blood and the adrenal glands produce more stress hormones. If you experience stress, choose wholegrain bread.

Walking barefoot. Walking barefoot on the grass or carpet stimulates the points in the feet which send a signal to the brain that you need dopamine, an hormone that has soothing effect. According to the researchers, this kind of foot massage helps to reduce the effects of stress as much as 33%.

Sports. Scientists of Stanford University claim that a few minutes of physical activity stimulates the production of serotonin and norepinephrine (hormones that are known to increase mood). They help to clear your mind in stressful situations, so before starting to get nervous or angry, it is better to go jogging or exercise.

Nuts. According to the researchers, salted nuts, sunflower seeds and chocolate is a perfect source of magnesium. A handful of nuts will reduce anxiety and improve the quality of your sleep.

Lavender. Chicago scientists claim that lavender scent reduces the levels of alpha waves in the brain (which are responsible for the stressful condition). Apply some lavender oil on your wrists when you are in a stressful situation and you will feel the effect immediately.
