Foods that cleanse the liver

In oriental countries, one of the most important organs is called liver, not the heart as we are used to think. Why? In their opinion, liver cleans the blood. If you would be asked what disturbs liver function, the most popular answer would probably be alcohol and tobacco. However, do you know how can you help for your liver? In fact, proper diet can be an effective tool.

Foods that can help you to clean the liver: spinach, leafy greens, artichokes, ginger, garlic, almonds, walnuts, green tea. Honey has also been researched to help the liver, so it’s recommended to eat a spoonful of honey in the morning and evening with a drink of warm herbal tea. In addition, you can perfectly clean your body ith a help of oats, apples, pears, strawberries, beans and peas.

In order to clean the blood, you should pay attention to beets – they will improve the work of your liver, protect the body from harmful effects of the alcohol and will also enrich it with antioxidants. Raisins will also clean the liver, kidneys and intestines. In addition, in order to prevent the appearance of gall bladder stones, you should drink a glass of room temperature mineral water before your breakfast. 

Food that can pose a huge harm for your liver: grilled meats, spicy, oily sauces, fat snacks and starchy foods – cakes made from white flour, sweet pastries and biscuits. If you suffer from liver disease, you shoudl also use less vinegar, pepper, mustard, radishes, onions, reduce the amount of coffee and cocoa.

In order to strengthen the liver, it is advisable to drink half a liter of beet and carrot juice because liver needs vitamins. In order to ensure you get right amount of vitamins A, B, C, K, include chicken egg yolks, butter, curd, beets, apples and strawberries into your menu.
