How to reduce stress and keep calm?

Our daily life is full of stress, so everybody has to know how to calm down. If you don’t deal with stress, sooner or later you will have serious health problems and may even end up in the hospital. So how to help yourself if something made you nervous?

One simple and effecting way is changing your activities at least for the time being. If you are working in front of computer all day long, stand up and go for a walk, at least for 5 minutes. Do not focus your attention on anything else, just walking. Do it slowly, as if you were meditating. Think of something pleasant, something that calms you down. Even a short walk will lift your mood and help you to relax.

If it didn’t work, there is another way. Sit , relax and focus on your breathing. Close your eyes and imagine about cool white water (imagine it to be like milk, opaque ), slowly leaking from your head to the tips of your toes . Then imagine that the water is slowly draining the floor and disappear from view. Then take a deep breath and open your eyes.

Another good way to calm your nerves is to wet your hands with cool water and touch them to your neck. Take your time to rub in circular motions around the neck and shoulders for half a minute, slowly increasing the pressure with your fingers.
