If you got a heat stroke

When the weather gets hotter and hotter, if we move fast and drink little water, our body accumulates excess heat. Heat stroke occurs when body is not able to evaporate heat while sweating. It’s a dangerous condition that cane be faced by everyone who spend lots of time in a hot environment or those who are working out when the weather is really hot. The body temperate can rise up to 40 degrees and then heat stroke occurs. You may experience the following symptoms: severe headache, dizziness, flushed and febrile skin, nausea.

If you feel thirsty, it means that your body requires liquids in order to function normally. Thirst is not the first sign of dehydration. Some early symptoms of dehydration are weakness, dizziness, loss of appetite, flushed skin, stomach burning, mouth drying, dry cough, heat intolerance, etc.

In order to avoid heat or sun strokes, you should drink different kinds of drinks so that you body would get wider variety of minerals and trace elements. This is especially important for hot summer days, when we sweat more and lose water this way. One of the best drinks at summer is definitely water. Cold water restores fluid balance, cools, refreshes and it has no calories. It’s a universal drink. To add some flavor into water, you can put a slice of lemon, lime or orange, some berries, fresh rosemary or mint leaves.

Another great option is cold tea. You can also mix it with juice.

People who got stroke should immediately be taken to the shadow and covered with something soaked in cold water. When the body temperature drops to 37.5 degrees, damp blanket should be replaced by dry one and the person should drink something cool. If a person is unconscious, you should lay it to face the side position and cal an ambulance.
