Indigestion. How to help yourself?

Digestion is a very complicated process. It starts in the mouth, and ends in the colon. One of the most important roles is played by duodenum. Here food is exposed in all possible ways. Disruption of just one component of the digestive system may cause uncomfortable feeling: stomach pain, nausea, abdominal distension and other.

If you are experiencing symptoms of indigestion regularly, make sure to visit your doctor who will help to find a reason of it. One of the most common problems is impaired balance of nutrient digestion enzymes.

Enzymes are the protein catalysts which speed up chemical reactions in the body. Enzymes are neither consumed nor produced, their main function is to fasten digestion reactions. The more active the enzyme is, the faster digestion occurs.

Features of digestive enzymes

The lack of enzymes can be overwhelming (impaired enzyme production or extraction) and a relative, for example, when we overeat. In both cases, it can be treated with oral digestive enzymes. They are used during a meal or immediately after eating (10-15 minutes later). There are no enzymes that can be taken just once a day. Remember that they are necessary when the bowels are working and they are mainly used to help to absorb nutrients.
