Natural oils for your hair

Natural essential and herbal oils have been used for hair care thousands of years ago. The beauties of ancient India, Egypt, and Persia had a wide range of oils used for cosmetic purposes. Some of them were even considered as secrets. Nowadays, natural oils can be found in any cosmetic store. All we have to do is to choose the best ones for us and enjoy their benefits.

However, you shouldn’t forget that patience is the most important in order to see the required results. Usually, the first results will be seen after the third of fourth time. This happens because natural products do not work as strong as many masks that contain concentrate of various substances. However, oils have long term healing effect. They do not cause any side effects such as dandruffs and scalp irritation.

Oil can be used on the ends of your hair, for scalp massage and masks. Vegetable oils can be kept over the night and essential oils – not longer than 2 hours as they have stronger concentration. Before applying oil on your hair, you can warm it a little bit. Then your hair will absorb it easier. If you find it difficult to wash oil out of your hair, add a teaspoon of vinegar into the water and rinse with it.

If you suffer from hair loss, try using burdock oil. Warm it up and massage to your scalp. Make sure to leave it at least for 20 minutes. Otherwise, you hair and scalp will not be able to absorb the oil.

If you have dry hair, mix some sesame oil with a few drops of castor oil. This mixture will restore you hair and you will be able to have soft and shiny hair again. Besides, you can use some sesame oil on the ends of your hair without rinsing it out. Another great option to apply on your entire hair and leave it for night is coconut, jojoba, almond, evening primrose or olive oil. If you want to do a scalp massage, add a few drops of sandalwood or geranium essential oil. If you have oily hair you can add 3 drops of rosemary oil.
