The benefits of mint leaves

Mint is a wonderful plant that has tons of useful properties. Here are some tips how to use them:

  • Abdominal cramps. Mint helps to relax digestive tract muscles and reduces spasms very well. If you got nervous or you start feeling abdominal cramps, drink some hot mint tea with lemon.
  • Prevention from infectious diseases. Mint has a fairly strong anti-bacterial effect. If you include them to your diet regularly, your body will be more resistant to a variety of infections and fungal diseases.
  • Soothing foot scrub. Mint has revitalizing effect due to menthol. Mix some chopped mint leaves with sea salt and olive oil and scrub your feet with this mixture. You will feel more relaxed immediately.
  • Headaches. Headaches are often caused by spasms of blood vessels. Drink a cup of hot mint tea as soon as you start feeling headache.
  • Runny nose. Pour some boiling water on a bunch of mint leaves and breathe the vapor. This is a natural way to unblock your nose and it is much cheaper than medications.
  •  Stress. Mint leaves are natural sedatives that help to reduce stress and suppress anxiety.
  • Instead of toothpaste. Mix some mint oil with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and you will have great whitening toothpaste that will provide fresh breath. However, you can use it only once per week, otherwise, you can damage your teeth enamel.
