If you are one of those women who want to get rid of a few kilos then you need to know that a great way to do that is swimming. Why swimming? Swimming will not get you tired and it will not have negative effect on your joints. Swimming makes your every muscle work, it strengthens your heart, blood vessels and immune system. It has even more benefits than a massage, especially if you swim in water with sea salt. There should be also emphasized that swimming will not only help you to lose some weight but it is also a big pleasure.

Specialists claim, that 30 minutes of swimming burns 400 calories and speeds up your metabolism two times. Swimmers consume 25 percent more energy than runners. Of course this happens only if you are swimming actively instead of floating.

As soon as you get into water you should warm up at first. Move your legs, arms and chest area. Do not try to swim long distances straight away. Start with small and then gradually increase the distance. Before going to swim, do not eat too much. At least one hour has to pass after you last meal. Then you can go swimming.

If your main goal is to lose weight, choose workouts that makes your heart beat stable. Do not overdo it. For the best results go swimming twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. At first warm up for 10 minutes, then start swimming at the average speed about 50 meters. Later on you will be able to swim 200 meters and more.

In addition, swimming is great to fight against cellulite, so it can be easily said that swimming is a great thing.
