Treat your nails with lemon

Lemon juice and lemon essential oils are used to strengthen nails for ages, since people found out that lemon contains substances that strengthen nails. Essential lemon oil can help to brighten your nails. Besides lemon juice improves the state of your cuticles. The best effect will be reached if you combine lemon with other natural products, such as honey, iodine and olive oil.

Baths with lemon for your nails and hands

1. You will need 2 teaspoons of sea salt, 1/3 cup of lemon juice, 1/3 cup of water and 4 drops of iodine. Heat the water and put salt into it. Then add lemon juice and iodine. Stir well and soak your hands into this mixture for 5-10 minutes. Dry your hands after that and use some nourishing hand cream.

2. Mix one teaspoon of lemon juice and 100 grams of olive oil. Warm it up to 40 degrees and soak your hands into this mixture for 30 minutes. Make sure your nails are fully covered with this oil. After this treatment soak your hands with paper towel.

3. If you want to strengthen your nails, mix juice of one lemon with a bit of vinegar.

4. Mix one teaspoon of lemon juice, two drops of iodine, one teaspoon of honey and 100 grams of glycerin. Warm this mixture up to 40 degrees, soak your hands into it and keep it there for 15 minutes. Then wash your hands with water and nourish with your favorite hand cream.

Although lemon has lots of good properties, don’t forget that if you do these treatments too often, it can dry your nails and hands out. So do not exaggerate.
