How to maintain your weight after a strict diet?

Did you have a strict diet and crazy work-outs in order to reach your desired weight? Do you want to enjoy some sinful desert now? But are you sure it is worth it? The diet was so strict that once oyu eat something bad, your weight will start growing. Here are some recommendations that will help you to avoid gaining weight after a strict diet.

It all begins with food. Your body had to adapt to changed conditions during the diet. If you were not allowed to drink coffee with sugar and sweets, try to stick to it even after a diet. If you still want some sweets so badly, try replacing them with healthier options. Get some dark chocolate or dried fruits. Pay attention to the quality of the food you are eating. Remember that when you are cooking by yourself, you know everything that you are adding. This cannot be said about food in restaurants.

Limit the amount of food you are eating. If you do not want your weight to grow, eat in very small portions – 100-150 grams.

Listen to yourself. Often we think we are hungry but in fact we are thirsty. Drink a glass of water to see it it’s true.  Eat only when you are really hungry, not because you have nothing else to do.

Exercise. Exercising is important not only if you want to lose weight, but also if you want to stay healthy. Choose something that would make you happy. Maybe you should start playing tennis? Make sure exercising becomes a pleasure for you. If you do it with your family and friends, it will become even more fun.
