Keep your heart healthy

Heart is one of the most important organs, therefore we should cake care of it and keep it healthy. Here are a number of foods that are the best for our heart:

Oat meal

Oat meal contain many vitamins, minerals and fiber. They lower level of cholesterol. Eath oat meal for breakfast. oat meal cookies are an exelent snack. Mix oatmeal powder with milk or yoghurt and use this to make pankeces. It’s not only tasty but also healthy.

Spinach

Spinach is rich in iron, calcium and vitamin B. It helps to maintain not only healthy eyes but also heart. You can mix spinach with basil and mint and make a great sauce for pasta.

Almonds

Almonds contain proteins, healthy oils, fiber, vitamin E, magnesium and polyunsaturated fats. All this helps to ensure proper levels of cholesterol. Chop almonds and put it into your fruit salad. This will also increase your energy.

Tomatoes

Have you ever heard of lycopene? It reduces the risk to get heart diseases and it is found in tomatoes. They also contain lots of vitamin C, potassium, folate and fiber. Put some tomatoes into your omlete to give it a different taste and make it more healthy.

Olive oil

Studies have shown that olive oil lowers bad cholesterol in your body. Use extra virgin olive oil, because it’s less processed.

Apples

English say – one apple a day keeps doctor away. And this is true. This fruit is an excelent antioxidant that has anti-inflammatory properties which prevent from forming blood clots.

Prunes

Prunes are rich in iron and beta-carotene. Eat prunes regularly and you will prevent yourself from getting colon cancer. They also lower cholesterol levels.

Soy

Soy helps to prevent from both heart diseases and cancer. It contains lots of vitamin B, follica acid, calcium, magnesium and potassium.
